Thomas M. Patton

President and Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Patton joined CASMED in August 2010 as President and CEO. Most recently Mr. Patton acted as an advisor to the healthcare-focused private equity group of Ferrer Freeman & Company, LLC, and as CEO of QDx, Inc., a successful start-up that developed a revolutionary platform for hematology diagnostics. Mr. Patton has previously served as the CEO of Wright Medical Group, an orthopedic device company in Memphis, TN, and as President of Novametrix Medical Systems, a patient monitoring company in Wallingford, CT. He graduated from The College of the Holy Cross and from Georgetown University Law Center.

Jeffery A. Baird

Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Baird joined CASMED in January 2004 as Chief Financial Officer. He has over 20 years of extensive financial management experience in the medical products industry. Before joining CASMED, Mr. Baird was CFO of QDx, Inc. a startup venture engaged in the development of novel medical diagnostic products. Prior to his tenure at QDx, Mr. Baird held various financial positions at Novametrix Medical Systems, Inc. including Controller, Treasurer and CFO. Before joining Novametrix, he was employed by Philips Medical Systems.

Matthew J. Herwig

Vice President - Sales & Marketing
Mr. Herwig joined CASMED in January 2011 as Vice President of Sales & Marketing. He was most recently Vice President of US Marketing for Energy Based Devices at Covidien Healthcare (formerly Tyco Healthcare), a leading global healthcare products company. He had previously held the positions of Director of Global Marketing - Imaging Solutions/Pharmaceuticals, Director of US Marketing - Imaging Solutions, Vice President of Marketing and Sales Training - Nellcor, all during his tenure at Covidien. Prior to those senior leadership positions, Mr. Herwig held various marketing and sales positions for Mallinckrodt, which was purchased by Covidien Healthcare. In addition, he worked for Computerized Medical Systems, an Elekta Company, where he was the Vice President of Marketing and North American Sales, and Ethicon, Inc., a Johnson & Johnson Company.
